The same book can be both read and listened to depending on the situation – progress is automatically synchronized between text and audio, as well as between all your devices. If you like the minimalism of the standard iBooks reader, but don’t like the fixed indents in the texts and limited format support, you can try eBoox. It is completely free: you can download books purchased elsewhere or purchase them directly from the Litres app.
This program is as easy to use as the standard “Books”, but it recognizes FB2, MOBI and other popular file types that are not available in the Apple reader. In addition, eBoox gives you more control over the visual side of the text: you can customize fonts, spacing and margins as you like.
PocketBook Reader

PocketBook cannot be called minimalistic, but it is unlikely to confuse you with a large number of settings and functions. In addition to the typical options, there is control over auto-scrolling and paging zones.
Quick export of words to Google, Wikipedia and a built-in dictionary are available. You can enable reading aloud. And it is also very convenient to change the scale of the text by pinching. There is also support for audiobooks, you can even take notes in them.
PocketBook supports synchronization between devices via Dropbox. There are reviews, ratings and other information about books. Support for DJVU, a popular format of illustrated books, deserves special attention. The application is available for free and without advertising.

The application of the largest digital library, which has 190 thousand electronic and audio books, including all the latest releases, world bestsellers and exclusives. 60 thousand works of Russian and world classics are available for free. A subscription for 3 books per month will cost 299 rubles, a subscription costs 399 rubles per month.
You can buy books separately or read for free (not all, but nevertheless) with a library card from your local library.
The reader itself has flexible settings: it is easy to change the font and its size, background color, indents, etc. There is reading progress tracking, a customizable player, quick switching between text and audio with automatic synchronization.
KyBook Reader

KyBook is just what you want for reading different formats, starting with comics, and ending with audiobooks. This app implements the feature of flexibility along with a number of features. They allow you to change the font type, the app theme, the margins, and even the brightness directly within the app. For audiobooks it provides very good primary functions: audio playback speed control and auto bookmarking.
Another nice point of KyBook is the interface with the cloud storage – Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud – so you don’t need to bother about copying all your e-books anywhere – just sign in, and your library syncs automatically. The interface could be slightly more complex than some other basic interface analysis programmes, but it is easily understood and clear. While most of the app is free, some of the better options that allow the user extra cloud storage are available for a fee.
Bluefire Reader

Bluefire Reader is another fantastic choice, especially in the case where the content tends to contain a lot of images or the books as in the case of EPUBs the format can be complex.
These are the features that make it common among students and workers, and that to mention that they can underline the text, make notes, and even set bookmarks. Notes and highlights that you created can also be synchronized to other devices through the app.
Bluefire Reader is a free application, however the application supports Adobe DRM, that is, users can read books with this DRM. This is particularly advantageous if you download your ebooks from various sources that expect DRM conformity. The design of this app is clean, and as we will find out in later sections, it lacks some of the perks of other apps but has enough options to spice up your reading.
